Hi everyone! We are Eddie and Cindy. Here's a little bit about us and how we got started with a venue.

 

Employed by CCC at the time, we met during a workplace "Professional Development" class in 2014. Both widowed from previous marriages, we had a mutual friend from work that was our "match maker." She kept telling each of us separately that we would be a good fit for each other. Taking her advice one day, a phone call was made and an invitation given to a local, outdoor "banjo picking." That was the beginning of many subsequent outings.

 

After dating for a year, we became engaged, and planned our wedding for the following year. An elopement was planned and after a few months, a family and friends party was scheduled. We were not certain of the location of the party at that time. So, Eddie decided to put some sweat equity into the old, existing "tractor shed" for the party, and that was the beginning of how the venue got its start. One thing led to another and one by one, board by board, nail by nail, the old dilapidated buildings that were already on the property became what we now know as "Mountain View Farm Event Barn, LLC."        

We had our first official wedding in May 2017. Since that time, we have had numerous weddings, showers, birthday parties, and graduation parties. We have tried to save, enhance, and repurpose the old structures that were already on the property, with the hopes of transforming them into a venue that will be a good fit for today's couples. Our mission is to help couples have a beautiful, yet affordable location for their event.
